Controls what the web autocapture collector observes and stores, before any destination is considered. Changes apply to newly collected events.

Web autocapture

Maximum safe text length Safe text (button labels, headings, etc.) is truncated to this many characters before storage.

Query string handling Query strings can carry identifiers or personal data, so they are stripped unless explicitly allowlisted.

Allowlisted query parameters Comma-separated parameter names to keep when the mode above is "allowlist".

Sampling rate Fraction of interactions to capture, from 0 (none) to 1 (all). Reduces volume on high-traffic pages.

Installation

This collector is deployed as raw JavaScript today (/static/collector.js, loaded on the interaction demo). Download a Google Tag Manager Custom HTML tag that embeds the same collector for use in a GTM container.
